What is Rapid Test?
Rapid Test is an RCD (Safety Switch) testing device and replaces the need for a technician to test using a portable RCD tester via your power point, or an electrician to test directly on the board. Why is that important? A technician can take 8-15 minutes to test each RCD and an electrician, whilst stand at your live switchboard, 2 minutes per RCD. With Rapid test, each RCD test takes 5 seconds – yes, you did read that right. It’s up to 180 times faster than you might be having them tested currently! We promised to save you time, money and headaches didn’t we?
A two-part “master and slave” product, Rapid Test can be retrofitted into your switchboard by a licensed electrician quickly, easily and with minimal disruption to your business operations.
The “master” unit contains a RCD tester (a testing device) and is integrated with state of the art Wi-Fi capabilities. The “slave” channel board houses 24 channels and can be connected to 24 RCD’s via a coupling wire. We know you are likely to have more than 24 RCD’s in your switchboard, so one “master” unit can be connected to up to 10 “slave” channel boards if required.
The integration of Wi-Fi allows for the transfer of detailed information captured during testing being immediately available to the end user on a tablet device. This functionality alone ensures quality control and saves valuable time. Captured information is sent to our cloud-based reporting system and provides easy access to view testing results and compliance certificates as required. Importantly, there is no manual transfer of any written information to a computer for editing, and no manual production of compliance reports! Yes, that’s right, no more trying to decipher your local electricians' handwriting!
We 100% guarantee Rapid Test will save you time, money and headaches, all whilst ensuring your RCD compliance. Check out our Return on Investment calculator to see how the numbers stack up.

Rapid Test Details
The Rapid Test system provides rapid RCD test functionality at the local switchboard. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a switchboard app on a tablet. There is no need to locate and test individual circuits from the field.
There are 24 channel modules which provide independent channel selection. For ease of installation they are DIN rail mounted, measuring approximately 203mm wide.
The Rapid Test communications bus connection is conveniently achieved through the use of RJ12 connection allowing similar units to be quickly looped together.
The RT Series RCD Test System is suitable for use with any existing RCD.
The modules may be installed within a switchboard enclosure and do not need a separate enclosure of their own unless space is limited within the switchboard.

What are the features of Rapid test?
The Rapid Test system has an internal power supply capable of supporting a number of RTRB24 units (300mA capacity).
Press and hold on power-up to reset to factory defaults. With the power off, press the reset button and hold it on. Turn the power on and release the button once the unit has powered up.
Press when powered up to reset module.
Press and hold for 3 seconds when powered up, to deactivate the Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Activate input
The Wi-Fi Activate input is used to "wake” the Wi-Fi on the RTTUWF board. The Wi-Fi will remain active until there has been approximately 15 minutes of inactivity. It will then switch the Wi-Fi off.
This is an optional input which may be connected to a key switch or other dry contact switching device to restrict operation of the RTTUWF module.
When this input is open the channel board modules will not be enabled.
If this feature is not to be used, it must be bypassed by inserting a wire link between the terminals (Refer to the diagrams in the installation instructions below).
